بیماران را شفا دهید، جذامیان را پاک کنید، مردگان را زنده کنید، دیوها را بیرون کنید: مفت یافتهاید، مفت بدهید.۔
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
1 آنچه از ابتدا بوده، آنچه شنیدهایم، آنچه با چشمان خود دیدهایم، آنچه بر آن نگریستهایم و آنچه دستهایمان لمس کردهاند، از کلام حیات.
3 آنچه دیده و شنیدهایم، به شما اعلام میکنیم تا شما نیز با ما رفاقت داشته باشید؛ و به راستی رفاقت ما با پدر و با پسرش عیسی مسیح است.
4 و این چیزها را به شما مینویسیم تا شادی شما کامل شود.
5 پس این پیامی است که از او شنیدهایم و به شما اعلام میکنیم که خدا نور است و در او هیچ تاریکی نیست.

1. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
3. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

23 و عیسی در تمام جلیل میگشت و در کنیسههای آنها تعلیم میداد و مژده پادشاهی را موعظه میکرد و انواع بیماریها و امراض را در میان مردم شفا میداد.
24 و آوازه او در سراسر سوریه پیچید و همه بیماران مبتلا به انواع امراض و دردها، و دیوانگان و مصروعان و مفلوجان را نزد او میآوردند و او آنها را شفا میداد.
25 و گروه زیادی از جلیل و دِکاپولیس و اورشلیم و یهودیه و آن سوی اردن از پی او روانه شدند.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judæa, and from beyond Jordan.

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
22 آنگاه شخص شیطان پرست و کور و گنگ را نزد او آوردند و او را شفا داد، به گونه ای که کور و گنگ هم گفت و هم دید.
23 و همه مردم تعجب کردند و گفتند: آیا این پسر داود نیست؟
24 اما چون فریسیان این را شنیدند، گفتند: این شخص شیاطین را بیرون نمیکند، مگر به وسیله بلزبوب، امیر شیاطین.
25 عیسی افکار آنها را دانست و به آنها گفت: هر پادشاهی که بر ضد خود تقسیم شود ویران می شود. و هر شهر یا خانه ای که در برابر خود تقسیم شود، پایدار نخواهد ماند.
26 و اگر شيطان شيطان را بيرون كند، بر ضد خود متفرق شده است. پس پادشاهی او چگونه خواهد ماند؟
27 و اگر من به وسیله بعلزبوب شیاطین را بیرون می کنم، فرزندان شما به وسیله چه کسی آنها را بیرون می کنند؟ پس آنها قضاوت شما خواهند بود.
28 اما اگر من شیاطین را به وسیله روح خدا بیرون کنم، پادشاهی خدا نزد شما خواهد آمد.

22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
23 و عیسی در معبد در ایوان سلیمان راه می رفت.
24 آنگاه یهودیان دور او آمدند و به او گفتند: تا کی ما را به شک و تردید واداری؟ اگر تو مسیح هستی، آشکارا به ما بگو.

23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
1 و قبل از عید فصح، چون عیسی دانست که ساعت او رسیده است تا از این جهان به سوی پدر برود، خاصان خود را که در جهان دوست میداشت، ایشان را تا به آخر محبت نمود.
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
1 عیسی این سخنان را گفت و چشمان خود را به سوی آسمان بلند کرد و گفت: ای پدر، ساعت فرا رسیده است؛ پسر خود را جلال بده تا پسرت نیز تو را جلال دهد.

19 و به خاطر ایشان، خود را تقدیس میکنم تا ایشان نیز از طریق حقیقت تقدیس شوند.
20 من نه تنها برای اینها دعا میکنم، بلکه برای کسانی نیز که به وسیله کلام ایشان به من ایمان خواهند آورد.
22 و جلالی را که به من دادهای، به ایشان دادهام تا آنها یکی باشند، چنانکه ما یکی هستیم.
25 ای پدر عادل، جهان تو را نشناخته است، اما من تو را شناختهام و اینها میدانند که تو مرا فرستادهای.
26 و من نام تو را به ایشان اعلام کردهام و اعلام خواهم کرد: تا عشقی که تو به من ورزیدهای، در ایشان باشد و من نیز در ایشان باشم.
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
13 زیرا پادشاهی و قدرت و جلال تا ابد از آن توست. آمین.
13 For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
کفاره، نمونهای از وحدت انسان با خداست، که به موجب آن انسان حقیقت، زندگی و عشق الهی را منعکس میکند. عیسی ناصری، وحدت انسان با پدر را آموخت و نشان داد، و به همین دلیل ما به او ادای احترام بیپایان داریم. رسالت او هم فردی و هم جمعی بود. او کار زندگی را نه تنها با عدالت نسبت به خود، بلکه با رحمت نسبت به انسانهای فانی به درستی انجام داد - تا به آنها نشان دهد که چگونه کار خود را انجام دهند، اما نه اینکه این کار را برای آنها انجام دهد و نه اینکه آنها را از یک مسئولیت واحد معاف کند. عیسی با جسارت، برخلاف شواهد معتبر حواس، علیه عقاید و اعمال فریسی عمل کرد و همه مخالفان را با قدرت شفابخش خود رد کرد.

Atonement is the exemplification of man's unity with God, whereby man reflects divine Truth, Life, and Love. Jesus of Nazareth taught and demonstrated man's oneness with the Father, and for this we owe him endless homage. His mission was both individual and collective. He did life's work aright not only in justice to himself, but in mercy to mortals, — to show them how to do theirs, but not to do it for them nor to relieve them of a single responsibility. Jesus acted boldly, against the accredited evidence of the senses, against Pharisaical creeds and practices, and he refuted all opponents with his healing power.
The atonement of Christ reconciles man to God, not God to man; for the divine Principle of Christ is God,
عیسی کلیسای خود را تأسیس کرد و رسالت خود را بر پایه معنوی شفای مسیح حفظ کرد. او به پیروان خود آموخت که دین او یک اصل الهی دارد که خطا را از بین میبرد و هم بیماران و هم گناهکاران را شفا میدهد. او هیچ هوش، عمل و حیاتی را جدا از خدا نمیدانست. با وجود آزار و اذیتی که این امر بر او وارد کرد، او از قدرت الهی خود برای نجات انسانها چه از نظر جسمی و چه از نظر روحی استفاده کرد.

Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing. He taught his followers that his religion had a divine Principle, which would cast out error and heal both the sick and the sinning. He claimed no intelligence, action, nor life separate from God. Despite the persecution this brought upon him, he used his divine power to save men both bodily and spiritually.
The question then as now was, How did Jesus heal the sick? His answer to this question the world rejected.

That saying of our Master, "I and my Father are one," separated him from the scholastic theology of the rabbis. His better understanding of God was a rebuke to them. He knew of but one Mind and laid no claim to any other. He knew that the Ego was Mind instead of body and that matter, sin, and evil were not Mind; and his understanding of this divine Science brought upon him the anathemas of the age.
The opposite and false views of the people hid from their sense Christ's sonship with God. They could not discern his spiritual existence. Their carnal minds were at enmity with it. Their thoughts were filled with mortal error, instead of with God's spiritual idea as presented by Christ Jesus. The likeness of God we lose sight of through sin, which beclouds the spiritual sense of Truth; and we realize this likeness only when we subdue sin and prove man's heritage, the liberty of the sons of God.
عیسی بر روی امواج راه میرفت، به جمعیت غذا میداد، بیماران را شفا میداد و مردگان را زنده میکرد، درست برخلاف قوانین مادی. اعمال او تجلی علم بود و بر ادعاهای دروغین حس مادی یا قانون غلبه میکرد.
Jesus walked on the waves, fed the multitude, healed the sick, and raised the dead in direct opposition to material laws. His acts were the demonstration of Science, overcoming the false claims of material sense or law.
مسیح همان روحی بود که عیسی در گفتههای خود به آن اشاره کرد: "من راه، حقیقت و حیات هستم." The Christ was the Spirit which Jesus implied in his own statements: "I am the way, the truth, and the life;" "I and my Father are one." This Christ, or divinity of the man Jesus, was his divine nature, the godliness which animated him. Divine Truth, Life, and Love gave Jesus authority over sin, sickness, and death. His mission was to reveal the Science of celestial being, to prove what God is and what He does for man.
برای سعادت حقیقی، انسان باید با اصل خود، عشق الهی، هماهنگ شود؛ پسر باید با پدر و در انطباق با مسیح باشد.
For true happiness, man must harmonize with his Principle, divine Love; the Son must be in accord with the Father, in conformity with Christ.
پدر آسمانی ما، عشق الهی، از همه انسانها میخواهد که از الگوی استاد ما و رسولانش پیروی کنند و صرفاً شخصیت او را پرستش نکنند. جای تأسف است که عبارت خدمت الهی به طور کلی به معنای عبادت عمومی به جای اعمال روزانه آمده است.

Our heavenly Father, divine Love, demands that all men should follow the example of our Master and his apostles and not merely worship his personality. It is sad that the phrase divine service has come so generally to mean public worship instead of daily deeds.
The nature of Christianity is peaceful and blessed, but in order to enter into the kingdom, the anchor of hope must be cast beyond the veil of matter into the Shekinah into which Jesus has passed before us; and this advance beyond matter must come through the joys and triumphs of the righteous as well as through their sorrows and afflictions. Like our Master, we must depart from material sense into the spiritual sense of being.

Every pang of repentance and suffering, every effort for reform, every good thought and deed, will help us to understand Jesus' atonement for sin and aid its efficacy; but if the sinner continues to pray and repent, sin and be sorry, he has little part in the atonement, — in the at-one-ment with God, — for he lacks the practical repentance, which reforms the heart and enables man to do the will of wisdom. Those who cannot demonstrate, at least in part, the divine Principle of the teachings and practice of our Master have no part in God. If living in disobedience to Him, we ought to feel no security, although God is good.
عیسی گفت: "این نشانهها همراه ایمانداران خواهد بود؛ ... دستها را بر بیماران خواهند گذاشت و شفا خواهند یافت." چه کسی به او ایمان میآورد؟ او شاگردانش را مخاطب قرار میداد، اما نگفت "این نشانهها همراه شما خواهند بود"، بلکه گفت "ایمانداران" در تمام دوران آینده... در زمان دیگری عیسی نه تنها برای آن دوازده نفر، بلکه برای همه کسانی که "به کلام آنها" ایمان بیاورند، دعا کرد.
Jesus said: "These signs shall follow them that believe; ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Who believes him? He was addressing his disciples, yet he did not say, "These signs shall follow you," but them— "them that believe" in all time to come. … At another time Jesus prayed, not for the twelve only, but for as many as should believe "through their word."
همه ما باید یاد بگیریم که زندگی، خداست. از خود بپرسید: آیا من زندگیای را زندگی میکنم که به خیر اعلی نزدیک میشود؟ آیا من قدرت شفابخش حقیقت و عشق را نشان میدهم؟ اگر چنین است، راه "تا روز کامل" روشنتر خواهد شد. ثمرات شما ثابت خواهد کرد که درک خدا چه چیزی را برای انسان به ارمغان میآورد. این فکر را دائماً در ذهن داشته باشید که این ایده معنوی، روح القدس و مسیح است که شما را قادر میسازد با قطعیت علمی، قانون شفابخشی را بر اساس اصل الهی آن، یعنی عشق، که زیربنای، پوشاننده و در برگیرنده همه هستی حقیقی است، نشان دهید.
We all must learn that Life is God. Ask yourself: Am I living the life that approaches the supreme good? Am I demonstrating the healing power of Truth and Love? If so, then the way will grow brighter "unto the perfect day." Your fruits will prove what the understanding of God brings to man. Hold perpetually this thought, — that it is the spiritual idea, the Holy Ghost and Christ, which enables you to demonstrate, with scientific certainty, the rule of healing, based upon its divine Principle, Love, underlying, overlying, and encompassing all true being.

هشدار به وظیفه
